Solana Tokenization Surges: What Lies Ahead for SOL Price?

Solana is rapidly transforming its image from a so-called “casino chain” to a prominent platform for real-world asset (RWA) tokenization. According to data from Messari, the total value of RWAs on Solana has surged past $418 million, driven primarily by tokenized U.S. Treasuries and private credit assets. Ondo Finance’s USDY token leads this growth, representing $175.3 million—nearly 42% of the RWA market on Solana and 60% of the blockchain’s non-stablecoin RWA sector. Other significant contributors include established financial entities such as Franklin Templeton and Maple Finance.

The Appeal of Solana for Real-World Asset Protocols

Solana’s attractiveness to RWA protocols lies in its high throughput capabilities, minimal transaction fees, and efficient yield distribution mechanisms. The blockchain now supports a broad spectrum of tokenized assets, ranging from yield-bearing treasuries and equities to real estate and collectibles. Institutional-grade infrastructure providers like R3 and Securitize are actively supporting Solana’s evolution, enhancing its capacity to serve as a foundation for on-chain finance at scale.

Further bolstering this momentum, stablecoin issuer Circle recently minted $1 billion worth of USDC on Solana within a single week, injecting substantial liquidity into the network’s decentralized finance (DeFi) ecosystem. This influx, coupled with increased on-chain trading activity, has led analysts to forecast robust ecosystem growth and a potential rally in SOL’s price in the near term.

SOL Price at a Crossroads

Despite these positive developments, SOL’s price has exhibited notable volatility. After reaching a weekly high of $168.3, the token has retreated to approximately $159.4, marking a 4.5% decline over the past 24 hours. Technical analysis reveals that SOL recently pulled back from the upper Bollinger Band near $167, with the 20-day simple moving average (SMA) at $153.35 serving as a critical support level. A sustained close above the upper Bollinger Band could indicate a bullish continuation toward the $172–$180 range, whereas failure to maintain support between $153 and $155 may result in a decline toward $150.

The Relative Strength Index (RSI) suggests mild bullish momentum, with room for further gains should trading volume increase. Meanwhile, the Moving Average Convergence Divergence (MACD) line remains above its signal line, though the narrowing gap points to weakening momentum. A bullish crossover could propel SOL toward $170, while a bearish turn might push the price down to the $145–$150 range.

Ecosystem Developments and Market Sentiment

Solana’s expanding ecosystem is attracting significant institutional investment. BIT Mining’s recent $300 million commitment has contributed to a 9% increase in SOL’s price, reflecting growing confidence from institutional players. Prominent industry figures, including Anthony Scaramucci, have predicted that Solana could eventually surpass Ethereum in market capitalization. Technical projections suggest potential price targets of $185, with some analysts envisioning a rise as high as $220 if bullish momentum endures.

Nonetheless, challenges persist. Legal scrutiny surrounding CoreWeave’s $9 billion acquisition of Core Scientific and uncertainty over the approval of a Solana exchange-traded fund (ETF) may dampen market sentiment. Responses from competitors remain cautious despite Solana’s rapid advancements.

Innovation and New Projects on Solana

Amid these developments, innovative projects continue to gain traction on the Solana network. One such example is Snorter Bot ($SNORT), a Telegram-based crypto trading assistant that combines meme coin appeal with practical trading functionalities. The bot allows users to identify, snipe, and manage tokens directly within Telegram, with plans to extend support to Ethereum and BNB Chain in the future.

As Solana expands its footprint in real-world asset tokenization and attracts increasing institutional interest, the coming weeks will be critical in determining whether SOL can maintain its upward momentum or face renewed volatility.
